"Let it Bee CNG/LNG"

Team B.E.E. (Being Energy Efficient) presented a song called "Let it Bee CNG/LNG" at the recent grand opening of the new CH4 Energy CNG/LNG station on 2100 South in Salt Lake City. We didn't have a recording of the performance, but they were nice enough to record the song again and post it on You Tube.

The kids wrote and performed the music themselves.

First CNG/LNG Station in Utah and a CNG Batmobile!

CH4 Energy just opened a new CNG/LNG station at 2100 South 875 West, Salt Lake City, near the I-15 and I-80 interchange. This is the first LNG station in Utah, and will help to encourage the use of more Liquified Natural Gas as a fuel for heavy-duty trucks. The pumps deliver cold CNG which allows for a better fill than standard CNG pumps.
Channel 4 has a good article and video on the grand opening of the station.

Governor Herbert and Senator Hatch were at the grand opening and Semi Service was showing off their CNG powered Batmobile.

CNG falls to $1.02 / gge at State stations.

Sometime between Jan 18 and Jan 25 the stations accepting the Utah State GasCard (Alpine School District, USU, UofU, etc) lowered their fuel price from $1.52 to $1.02.
The Questar run stations had previously lowered their price from $1.52 to $1.27.
We don't know how long it will last but take advantage of it.
The stations are supposed to be transitioning from accepting the GasCard to accepting credit cards but we haven't heard a timetable for that.
As gasoline is pushing over $3/gal throughout Utah, it's nice to be driving CNG and paying 1/3 that amount.
